International Hotel Killarney & Hannigan's Bar, Restaurant & Terrace

The International Hotel was awesome and we had an awesome room while we were there! Going to the hotel we realized there was a small loading zone area where we could offload the luggage making it really easy even though the car park is just a bit away. The car park is toward the center of town but there is an alleyway making it easy to walk to the hotel, so it's not really an issue once you drop off your luggage. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas time and we could tell that the hotel was luxurious with the tasteful decorations throughout complimenting the older charming feel. There were several 1/4 flight stairs taking us up and down on the way to our room & then one more flight of stairs to go down to our room which was somewhat strange but once we got to the room we found the trek was worth it! The room was very spacious and had a walk in shower along with a jacuzzi tub making it a great place to stay with nice creature comforts. The location is pretty close to everything around town as well so walking is very easy. We ended up just leaving our rental in the car park until it was time to leave since everything was within walking distance. The staff was amazing while we were here, very friendly and helpful!

This is a fairly nice hotel. Decent coffee places right next door and a couple of choices. Hotel did a currency exchange for us, and it was the fairest price/fee we had in Ireland. Will accept the reusable coffee cups and give your deposit back. There were a couple of things that were a pain, however. We stayed in a suite, the room was nice enough, but there was a labyrinth of hallways to travel, including small up and down of stairs. Parking was ridiculous, and a back door that gets guests closer is something this hotel should seek. It's a long hike up a hill to parking. My knee was injured and this was problematic. Other than that employees were polite and helpful, we had a lovely dessert surprise for our anniversary. Would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel, location is an ideal starting point for tours and hikes, the countryside is lovely. We enjoyed coming back to the hotel after a long day and enjoying the fireplace in a quiet room. The rooms are big and confortable, a bit noisy though. The only issue we had was some light that could not be switched off…
